Given the importance of developing and promoting handicrafts and reinforcing tourism infrastructure in Iran, holding exhibitions can be a good opportunity to realize the established targets. The National Exhibition of Handicrafts and Tourism in Tabriz is held annually facilities to introduce traditional arts and handicrafts of East Azarbaijan and many people from around the country participate in it.

Tirgan Festival and the National Day of Damavand

Level: National

Tirgan Festival is an ancient ceremony to celebrate the myth of Arash the Archer, who lived in Tabarestan (know Mazandaran). This day is matched with the National Day of Damavand and is celebrated in Amol County. Tirgan Festival is an ancient ceremony celebrated annually on Tir 10^th (July 2^nd/3^rd/4^th). The Association of Iran Mountain Climbers celebrate this day along with the local people at the hillsides of Damavand, in Rineh, Larijan and Amol cities.

Celebrating the Global Registration of Yazd

The global registration of Yazd City in the list of UNESCO World Heritages is celebrated at the presence of UNESCO cultural ambassadors and the ambassadors of member countries in World Heritage Committee in order to introduce the culture and art of Yazd people to the world.

Festival of Narrow Alleys in Yazd and Commemoration of Yazd Global Registration

This 2-day festival is held to celebrate the global registration of Yazd as a UNESCO World Heritage in order to reconcile the people of Yazd and the historic district of this city. The festival is called the Festival of “Ashtikonan” Alleys, meaning the alleys that make you reconcile with anyone who is passing through the alley, because they are so narrow that you have no other choice! Cooking traditional foods, local and native games, folk music, etc. are among the side programs of this festival.

Puppetry Festival of Kermanshah

Kermanshah/ Kermanshah, Ghadir Hall/ July 10^th and 11^th

Level: the Puppetry Festival of Kerman is held in two sections of stage puppetry and field puppetry, as a collaboration with the Head Office of Culture and Guidance in Kermanshah Province. The festival is going to be held in Ghadir Hall and the opening ceremony starts with a carnival of puppets in the streets.

Celebration for Global Registration of Bisotun

The case for Bisotun Historic Site including the inscription, Hercules Statue, Farhad Tarash, Sasanid Building, Ilkhani Caravanserai, Bisotun Caravanserai, Blash Relief, Parthian Historic Site and Bisotun Mirage, was registered in 2006 in UNESCO World Heritage List and since then a celebration is held annually in Abbasi Caravanserai in this site.

Saint Thaddeus Monastery Ceremonies

West Azarbaijan/ Chaldoran/ Early July

Level: International

Armenian people in Iran have a religious ceremony at Saint Thaddeus Monastery every year. Among their ceremonies is communion that extends for three days to commemorate one of the apostles of Christ, named Thaddeus. This religious ceremony is being held for more than 62 years now, as a collaboration among West Azarbaijan Provincial Government, Armenian Caliphate, and other authorities in the globally registered site of Saint Thaddeus Monastery. This monastery is located in North West of Iran, West Azarbaijan Province, Chaldoran City.

Takht-e Soleyman Festival

Level: National

Takht-e Soleyman Festival will be held at the presence of tourism activists, art groups and authorities from 5 North Western Provinces of Iran, including East Azarbaijan, West Azarbaijan, Ardabil, Zanjan and Gilan. This festival is going to introduce the tourism capacities of Tokab City.

Special Conference for E-Commerce in Handicrafts

Isfahan/ Isfahan/ Early July

Level: National

Several special courses are being held in Isfahan in order to implement the policies of the Deputy of Handicrafts. Digital Marketing Special Course (Webmaster and SEO) is among these courses and is held for website owners and e-commerce practitioners in handicrafts area. This course is 28 hours and is designed to upgrade the knowledge of its audience in Internet business, content production, content marketing, advertising in web, search engine marketing, per click advertising, online shops, etc.

National Eco-camp Festival

North Khorasan/ Bojnurd/ Early July

Level: National

This festival would be held in Baba Aman Park in Bojnurd. During the festival, several camps are set up and traditional foods and drinks are served. The goal of holding such festivals is to familiarize the people with tourism, ecotourism and accepting the responsibility of protecting and promoting the local tourism.

Movable Exhibition of Saadabad in Khorasan Province

The Movable Exhibition of Saadabad include high copies of significant artworks from the Fine Art Museums, Kelara Abkar, Mir Emad, Master Behzad, Master Farshchian, and potteries of the Islamic Period borrowed from Melat Museum, Torkmen jewelry borrowed from Art and People Museum and some artefacts from Utensil Museum, presented in different provinces at various occasions.

Meeting for Strategic Association of Selecting National Handicraft Cities and Villages

In this meeting, some cases for national registration of handicrafts cities and villages are investigated by managers and experts from the Deputy of Handicrafts.
