Cultural-Sport Festival of Arasbaran Nomads

Cultural-Sport Festival of Nomads is celebrated annually in Harna Village of Kaleybar County. Also Called Ghareh Ghiyeh, this festival can be a good example for other regions with nomads to display their traditions and ceremonies of migration. This festival is held at the presence of male and female nomad athletes in track and field, horse riding, traditional wrestling (Zoorama) and tug of war. There is also an exhibition on the capabilities and handicrafts of nomadic people.

Commemoration of Carriers of Cultural Heritage

At the moment, about 20 people are on the list of carriers of cultural heritage and traditional knowledge in Iran and a number of other cases are being considered in different provinces. Knowledge of how to dig a Qanat, Reading Shahnameh, local songs, various techniques and skills, and the art of life in past are only a small part of ancient culture and civilization in Iran, carried by these people. By establishing and commemorating the knowledge of these people, their names and well as the traditions can be registered in the course of history and preserved for the next generations. “The Week of Cultural Heritage” is a precious opportunity to commemorate these people.

International Festival of Nomadic Migration

Now, five years has passed from the first International Festival of Nomadic Migration, held in Ardabil Province. This festival is held to introduce Shahsavan Tribe as one of the biggest tribes in this province. Many tourists from Iran, as well as other countries, take part in this festival.

The academic conference on the “National Day of Khayyam” is held in collaboration with the headquarters for national day of Khayyam, the association of works and celebrities of Razavi Khorasan, and the research center for history of science of the University of Tehran in Neyshabur. In this academic conference, papers on Khayyam’s works and life are presented.

Dar Al-saltaneh Qazvin Photo Festival

Dar Al-saltaneh Qazvin Photo Festival is held to introduce the attractions and monuments of Qazvin City and the cultural-historic route of this city to the tourists and photographers. This festival is held in four sections of photo marathon, architecture, cellphone, and archive photos. The main section is photo marathon and the photographer must take several photos, starting their route from Kushk Gate and ending in Imamzadeh Hossein.

Festival of Native Culture in Selected International Tourism Cities

The Festival of Native Culture in Selected International Tourism Cities is held in Shahmirzad city, which is itself a selected international tourism city, in collaboration with the head office of MCTH in Semnan, the Municipality of Semnan and the Islamic Council of Semnan City. An exhibition of souvenirs, handicrafts and traditional cuisine from selected tourism cities and Iranian tribes will also be held. Other programs include traditional and ethnic ceremonies, traditional music, etc.

The International Exhibition of Tourism Branding, Food Industry and Pastry is held in Mashhad and displays the endeavors of b rand owners to help develop tourism through communicating neighboring countries. This exhibition is an attempt to introduce the capacities of industries and cuisine traditions of Khorasan, along with famous and branded commodities of this region as an advantage for growth and reinforcement of tourism.

Festival of Rayen Historical Citadel

The Festival of Rayen Historic Citadel include traditional cuisine and handicrafts of Kerman Province, at the presence of artists from around the province. In addition, several traditional recipes are thought and various cultural and artistic programs are planned, including traditional and local folk music, ceremonies and traditions of various regions in the province, etc.

Nomadic Migration Festival

Kohgiluyeh and Boyerahmad/ Yasooj/ Late May

The Iranian Nomadic Migration Festival is held in Velayat Park in Yasooj to present the potentials of this province, especially its nomadic and tourism capacities. Nomad Festival is the result of a collaboration among Kohgiluyeh and Boyerahmad Tourism Workgroup, Yasooj Provincial Government and Yassoj Municipality in 180-meter long Siah-Chadors (black tenets of the nomads). Traditional ceremonies, nomadic music, nomadic cuisine and commemoration of nomadic geniuses are among the most important programs of this festival.

Turkmen Horse Festival

The National Festival of Turkmen Horse is held in beautiful and green lands of Soofial Kolaleh Village with the aim of identifying and preserving the genetic resources of Turkmen Horse, financial supporting for Turkmen Horse breeders and developing tourism industry in this region. Three international referees will judge at this competition.

Fam Tour for the Press Community and Foreign Reporters

Special Conference of Bordering Historical Monuments

Any historic district has its own historic, social and aesthetic values and an integrated totality. So, the special conference of bordering historical monuments is held to investigate the mutual relationships between districts and buildings and the methods for preserving them and bordering them. Some legal regulations are also applied to the surrounding areas of each monument.
